Who are we?
Headed up by Director Katie Grauke, the Paradise Creek Players is a non-profit group of local musicians who play chamber music together. We meet on a weekly basis to rehearse a wide variety of music, and perform for the community at frequent intervals. Check out our Rehearsal Schedule page for up to date rehearsal information.
Who can play?
Our roster is always evolving as we welcome new members and create new small chamber music groups based on individual skill level and availability. We currently boast of 12 violins, 1 viola, 3 cellos, 1 bass, a flute, and oboe and a clarinet. We welcome any musician who:
*Loves playing their instrument
*Works well with others
*Understands the time commitment involved (see attendance policy)
Many folks wonder what skill level we look for. Age isn't a factor--young and old are welcome! Outside of hard work and practice, the best tool in a chamber musician's repertoire is their ability to sight read music. All potential chamber music players should get in touch with Katie to discuss their skill level and experience. Katie works hard to make sure that each player is playing music that they are comfortable with.
